Melville, NY – October 4, 2018 – On October 25th Dale Carnegie Training® offices around the world will take part in the third annual Global Day of Giving. The event commemorates the company’s 106th anniversary and demonstrates the deep connection between Dale Carnegie business owners and their communities. Over one hundred participating Dale Carnegie locations, partnering with various local schools, youth clubs, and organizations who serve youth populations, will deliver leadership training to thousands of students and staff.
“I’m thrilled that we can work in concert on behalf of youth communities around the world, providing them with the foundations of Dale Carnegie’s timeless human relations principles,” says Joe Hart, President and CEO of Dale Carnegie Training. “It’s our dedication to improving people’s lives that makes us powerful, and our deep local reach that enables the Global Day of Giving to touch so many lives.”
The 2-3 hour Global Day of Giving workshops are personalized to suit the needs of individual local agencies, and will focus on one of three themes: Leadership Development, Stress Management, and/or Intentional Living for young people. The goal is to provide underserved youth and agency staff workers with techniques that will improve their communication skills, strengthen their people skills, and enhance their success at work and in daily life.
“People work with Dale Carnegie because they want to make a bigger impact. For over a hundred years our brand has represented human transformation, finding the best in people and bringing it forward, and always doing right by the other person. These are skills that the world needs. It’s very humbling to be invited into schools, shelters, hospitals, and so many other community centers to work with young people,” says Hart. “Every year I’m inspired by the stories that I hear coming out of this event, and so grateful for the outpouring of support from the global Dale Carnegie community.”
